Meet Our Director, Amanda D
Born and raised in South Brooklyn, Amanda D is proud to now raise her family just minutes from her childhood home. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Studies from UNC School of the Arts and a Master’s in Music from the University of North Texas, where she discovered her passion for early childhood education through teaching in outreach programs. Amanda later earned a Master’s in Early Childhood and Special Education from Brooklyn College. After seven years as a head teacher at Northside, she stepped into the role of Head of Preschool in 2020. She lives in Carroll Gardens with her husband, a NYC firefighter, their two young sons (both enrolled in the program), and their spirited pup. Her world blends music, early learning, and joyful family life
