Tyke Town Troy

My husband and I absolutely love Tyke Town! The teachers are incredibly kind and treat our children like family. Every morning, they are greeted with warm smiles, and it’s clear the staff truly loves what they do. Our children have learned so much here, and the teachers take real pride in their work and the safety of the children.

One of my favorite things is how much my daughter adores her teacher—she loves playing school at home and always pretends to be “Ms. Jean.” The connection we’ve built goes beyond the classroom; the teachers have become part of our extended family, even celebrating birthdays together. We are so thankful for the loving, positive, and educational environment they provide every day.

I trusted Tyke Town with both of my daughters and each time I had an excellent experience. The staff was caring and friendly and the facility was excellent. The girls enjoyed their time there and I found that they were well prepared for kindergarten thanks to the instruction they received. I would highly recommend.

My son has gone to tyke town for 2 years now. The teachers are both fun (for the children) and professional. They have a curriculum they follow and always do the cutest projects. They are sure to keep the line of communication open for if there is any concern or issue. The director (Ms. Shannan) is phenomenal. She is very hands on with the classrooms and teachers to help them grow more. I recommend tyke town to everyone i talk to, and anyone looking for excellent child care.

My review is not based on the teachers/staff of Tyke Town. Everyone is great. I trusted them with my kid. My 2 stars is simply because the website is misleading. This is more of daycare vibes than preschool. My kid went to TT for a year and was no more prepared for school than they would’ve been if I had just continued working with them myself. I received more random coloring pages of cartoon characters, and small arts and crafts than anything. Often the kids are watching a movie on an iPad while the teachers are on their phones. I would ask “what # or letter did you learn about today?” and would get a response of “nothing today” more often than not. Never saw practice of sight words or anything which is very important when entering Kindergarten. Again, staff was friendly and trustworthy, just the curriculum left much to be desired. I work with my kid too, of course, but I was paying for a preSCHOOL while at work. Hoped for more progress. :/
