Frequently Asked Questions

What ages of children can attend Tobin Afterschool?

Tobin Afterschool provides care for school-age children in Kindergarten through 4th grade who are enrolled in the Natick Public Schools. Our program is designed specifically for local families seeking a trusted afterschool option in the Natick community.

What are the hours of operation at Tobin Afterschool?

Tobin Afterschool runs every weekday until 6:00 p.m. Children are transported directly from their Natick elementary schools on our staffed buses. On Early Release Days, children are picked up at dismissal and cared for until 6:00 p.m. When Natick Public Schools close for professional days or vacation weeks, Tobin Afterschool offers full-day programs from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

How much does Tobin Afterschool cost?

Tuition at Tobin Afterschool is a blended rate, meaning families choose a 2-, 3-, 4-, or 5-day schedule and receive coverage for all program types on those days — whether afterschool, early release, or full-day care during public school closures.

What curriculum and activities does Tobin Afterschool offer?

Tobin Afterschool is a licensed, nationally accredited program that balances structure with choice. Children begin their afternoons with a healthy snack and then may join activities like cooking, arts and crafts, building projects, sports, and group games, or simply unwind after a long school day. Programming is designed to meet the needs of students across grade levels while fostering creativity, social skills, and fun.

How does Tobin Afterschool ensure health and safety?

At Tobin Afterschool, safety is central. We maintain secure building entry, low staff-to-child ratios, and strict health protocols under state licensing. All staff are trained annually in First Aid, CPR, and EpiPen use. We also operate as a Peanut/Tree Nut Avoidance program, asking families to avoid snacks or meals that contain, may contain, or are processed in facilities with peanuts or tree nuts.
