Pine Village Preschool Kendall Square

695 West Kendall Street Cambridge, MA 02142
Our son began here at around 2 years and 4 months after 1.5 yrs with a full time nanny who speaks Spanish. We have been really pleased with the Pine Village staff and level of care and professionalism they have when caring for children and toddlers.

We also find that they are the only day care in the entire Cambridge/Boston area that provides 1) healthy, consistent food for breakfast and lunch through a catering services, and 2) has a regular schedule that follows a general federal holiday schedule. These two factors are huge for 2 full time working parents who do not have the time or energy to prep full balanced meals and cannot take off random weeks in June, August, October, etc. like some of the competing day cares in the area.

Our son is incredibly pleased to come here in the morning and even calls out for "escuela!" on Saturday and Sunday when he cannot go. He clearly adores the teacher and likes the activities they do. We are not a Spanish speaking home but we do find that he is picking up the language quite a bit, too.

The school also did a market assessment in the fall of 2025 and lowered their prices in addition to soon offering an infant room. They are also seeking to work with the Cambridge Public School system to try and get the universal pre-k paid for for the 4 yr old room for kids.

Overall, we have been very pleased with the director and the hours of this place. An 8am - 5:30pm offering in this area is truly near impossible to come by but the ease of pick up and drop off in Kendall Square and the schedule and food has made our transition from nanny to day care very easy.
I cannot say enough about the high quality of this program, and the loving, caring, and knowledgeable staff. Our daughter had a language delay, and her teacher, Ms. Catalina, built a beautiful, loving relationship with her and had strong knowledge about how children learn language. Now my daughter won’t stop talking in English, or Spanish. The teachers who work here, and the program director, Karla, really love and nurture each child. I, myself, am a teacher with over 20 years of experience so I had a high bar for what I wanted for my child. Pine Village has been a dream.
We are so pleased we found Pine Village - Kendall Square. The teachers are kind and encouraging while providing the necessary structure for the kids to thrive. The space is welcoming and there's parks close by for the kids to enjoy time outside. We've seen our child's Spanish vocabulary and comprehension expand rapidly even though we are an English speaking home. I highly recommend PVP Kendall.
